Robert O’Bday - Partner, President - CFO, since 1999. Entered the mortgage industry as a loan officer in 1994 and was quickly promoted to an executive management position with a leading regional lender. This experience coupled with his finance background enables Robert to guide his clients through in-depth consultations, mortgage programs and carefully determine the best solution for their unique needs. He is also responsible for leading company innovation, regulatory compliance, strategic planning and building customer value. His expertise and knowledge base has enabled him to earn the trust of Southern’s clients. Robert is married to Cathy and has one young daughter and has resided in the Charlotte area for the past 11 years.
Jeff Kennedy - Partner, Vice President Sales. Has over 15 years experience in the mortgage field, extensive knowledge in both the retail and wholesale side of the mortgage business. This experience has enabled Jeff to secure the best working relationships with the leading lenders in the field. Relationships that have provided added value in being able to meet the ever changing requirements of our many clients at the best possible value. He is responsible for developing our organizational infrastructure to meet the needs of our internal and external stakeholders, generate cutting edge programs and service for our diverse client base. He also ensures that our mission statement is effectively accomplished. Jeff currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Sales Leadership Council. Jeff is the proud father of two young sons and has resided in Charlotte for the last nine years.
Daryl Watson - Partner, Vice President Operations since 1999. Has been serving mortgage clients since 1995. He has been instrumental in guiding the development of Southern United and providing the entrepreneurial leadership for our success over the years. Daryl is responsible for organizing the company infrastructure for competitive advantage by improving value added and efficiency through effective management of all company resources and assets. Daryl’s operational focus provides us with the essential customer centric business processes that help the company to better understand the needs and wants of our clients. Daryl is married to Linda and has two daughters and is a native of the Charlotte area.
Greg Pflug - Vice President Business Development. The newest addition to the organization. Was most recently the National Sales Manager for one of the world’s largest privately held consumer products company. With over 28 years of experience in customer relationship management, he will focus on developing preferred Realtor networks and clients that value premier service and programs. Adding the business development position and implementing CRM strategies will enhance our ability to have an in-depth knowledge of all our clients and better anticipate their needs. Greg constantly evaluates our Client Questionnaires, an important tool that provides feedback and documents performance information to ensure that all our company commitments are exceeded. As he says we are moving beyond typical satisfaction expectations to exceeding expectations in order to earn the customer’s loyalty. This senior management position demonstrates our passion and commitment to providing the best service possible to our sophisticated clients. Greg has served in various outside capacities, on Community Hospital Board of Directors, ACA School Board Vice Chairman and Gerson-Lehrman Industry Consultant. |
